Having secured funding from the LTA and Sport England towards the cost of floodlighting, 2019 looks like being their best year ever at Wheatley. There are still a few things to sort but it is hoped that installation will be completed sometime during the Summer. The lighting will enable members to play year-round tennis until 9.30pm, seven days a week and rather than have a ‘pay-to-play’ system the club have opted to incorporate the anticipated running costs into the subscription fees, details of which can be found on their website wheatleytennis.org.uk.
