The 2018 Wheatley Tennis Club open day will be held on Saturday, the 7th of April at 2.30pm and we look forward to welcoming both existing and new members. With a free BBQ and refreshments provided, all we ask is you come and enjoy the afternoon. Don't worry if you haven't played before as coach Tim Taylor will be on hand to offer advice and, if required, spare racquets will be available.
At the Club this year, Tuesday and Friday evenings from 6.30pm onwards and Sunday mornings from 10.30am have been set aside for social tennis where everyone mixes in. With four teams in the Gainsborough evening league, there is also ample opportunity for all members to play competitive tennis at their appropriate level.
The Club's highly experienced LTA Level 3 coach holds three coaching groups on Saturday afternoons for junior, young improvers and adult players for £4.00 per person per session. However, to encourage more younger members, any junior or intermediate that signs up for ten coaching lessons, costing £40.00, will be entitled to free membership which is a saving of £20.00.
Subscriptions this year have been held at £85.00 for adults (£40.00 for 'off-peak'). There is also a new family membership for £170.00 which includes two adults and any children aged 15 years and under.
A 'Taster' membership for April and May for just £20.00 is available to help encourage new adult members to see how enjoyable the sport is with minimal outlay. If, as the Club hopes, they wish to then extend their membership, this amount will be deducted from the annual subscription.
